250285-32-6, 1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride, also known as 1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride, is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C27H37ClN2 and its molecular weight is 425 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.

1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride has been used to generate N-heterocyclic carbene catalysts for use in carbonylative cross-coupling of pyridyl halides with aryl boronic acids.

1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium Chloride is an imidazolium salt that is active against all stages of Trypanosoma cruzi and may represent a promising candidate for treatment of Chagas disease.

1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride is an organic compound that is used as a solvent. It was originally synthesized by reacting triethyl orthoformate with 2,6-diisopropylaniline. This reaction formed the corresponding imidazolium salt. The synthesis of this compound was later improved by using ring-opening polymerization of glycolide and furfural. 1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride is mainly used to extract estradiol from urine samples in clinical laboratories., Computed Properties of 250285-32-6

Imidazole derivatives generally have good solubility in protic solvents. Simple imidazole derivatives, such as 1H-imidazole, 2-methyl-1H-imidazole, and 1,2-dimethylimidazole, have very high solubility in water. 250285-32-6, formula is C27H37ClN2, Name is 1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride. Their solubility in alcohol is lower than that in water and decreases with increasing molecular weight of the alcohols . Computed Properties of 250285-32-6.

Jenkins, Aireal D.;Robo, Michael T.;Zimmerman, Paul M.;Montgomery, John research published 《 Nickel-Catalyzed Three-Component Cycloadditions of Enoates, Alkynes, and Aldehydes》, the research content is summarized as follows. A method for the three-component cycloaddition of aldehydes R1CHO (R1 = Ph, i-Pr), enoates PhOC(O)C(R2)=CHR3 (R2 = H, Me; R3 = H, Me, Ph), and alkynes R4CCR5 (R4 = Me, n-Pr, (CH2)3OTBS, (CH2)2C(O)2Me; R5 = Ph, n-Pr) has been developed. Building upon previous work by this group in which stoichiometrically generated metallacycles undergo alkylation, a catalytic, alkylative [3+2] cycloaddn was reported. From simple starting materials, structurally complex cyclopentenones I may be rapidly assembled. Computational investigation of the mechanism (ωB97X-D3/cc-pVTZ // ωB97X/6-31G(d)) identified three energetically feasible pathways. Based on the relative rates of ketene formation compared to isomerization to a 7-membered metallacycle, the most likely mechanism has been determined to occur “ketene-first”, with carbocyclization prior to aldol addition Deuterium labeling studies suggest that formation of the 7-membered metallacycle becomes possible when an α-substituted enoate is used. This observed change in selectivity is due to the increased difficulty of phenoxide elimination with the inclusion of addnl. steric bulk of the α-substituent. The net transformation results in a [3+2] cycloaddition accompanied by an alkylation of the enoate substituent.
