Synthesis of 4-((1R,5S,9r)-9-methoxy-3-((1-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-yl)picolinamide hydrochloride To a suspension of 4-((1R,5S,9r)-9-methoxy-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-yl)picolinamide hydrochloride (100 mg, 0.32 mmol), 1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carboxaldehyde (70 mg, 0.64 mmol) and acetic acid (37 muL, 0.64 mmol) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was added sodium triacetoxyborohydride (203 mg, 0.96 mmol) at ambient temperature. After stirring for 16 hours, the reaction was quenched with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution and extracted with dichloromethane (*3).
